Important to me!

The most important educational issue to me as a learner and/or as a future teacher is that every child with special needs is taught with equal respect in a classroom. My younger brother Hunter has Down-Syndrome he is currently thirteen years old and my family and I have gone through many obstacles in his life to get him to where he is today. He has had some of the best teachers and some, well not so good, but we always get him to where he needs to be. But the point here being is that the good/succesful teachers in this story were the ones that taught with respect for all students including the students with dissabilities. The way that they excelled in their teaching was showing compassion towards him and did more than just go through the motions of being a teacher. In the end those are the teachers that really make all the difference.

Special Education Teacher talks about ways to teach children with dissabilities in a classroom. She explains how her classroom is ran and what her routines are with the children.
